Disease Assessment and Treatment Plan
Chronic disease at the cellular level is a dynamic, reactive environment. The disease environment is characterized by both healing and injury processes. The objective is to design a treatment plan to interrupt the chronic disease cycle and accelerate healing. Thus, it is essential to properly assess the disease state, it characteristics, prioritized into a hierarchy of functions with associated cellular signaling. Each plan must establish precise objectives for outcomes. These objectives must also include a specific time-frame to accomplish. The diagram below represents a protocol to assess disease characteristics and design a treatment plan with specific objectives. The objectives must include significant improvement in the reduction of chronic disease processes, reduction of disease burden, improvement of symptoms and quality of life.
